6.) Die Größe des Heiligtums Isis et Serapis der augusteischen Regio III

Nachdem wir oben, in Punkt 5.) die einzelnen antiken Architekturen auf dem Südostabhang des Mons Oppius betrachtet haben, die meiner Meinung nach insgesamt zu diesem Heiligtum gehört haben, verwundert es sicher nicht zu hören, dass es deshalb das größte Heiligtum der ägyptischen Kulte in Rom gewesen ist.

Vergleiche Häuber (2014, Kapitel "I.1. The `Porticus with Piscina´/the sanctuary Isis et Serapis in the Augustan Regio III", S. 74, mit Anm. 228-231):

"if we believe that the building in the former Vigna Reinach (cf. I.3.), the nymphaeum at Piazza Iside and the substructure on Via Pasquale Villari/`Terme di Filippo´ (as drawn by Nolli; cf. I.4.) belonged together with the `Porticus with Piscina´ to the sanctuary Isis et Serapis in Regio III, it is worth while to define the size of the area occupied by this sanctuary. The three buildings facing the ancient road underneath modern Via Labicana, discussed here, taken together measured 340 m from west to east (as the crow flies), and the northern perimeter wall of the `Porticus with Piscina´ is in my reconstruction c.[irca] 225 m distant from the ancient road underneath modern Via Labicana. Note that I reconstructed the course of this road according to ancient structures on the north side of this road as documented by Nolli (cf. map 1, the dark areas = ancient buildings), as well as by the excavators of the 19th century (cf. maps 15; 17, the red areas = ancient buildings). According to the calculations made by de Vos [mit Anm. 228: De Vos 1996, p. 111], the west-east dimension of this sanctuary is `only´ 260 meters, nevertheless her size of the sanctuary is ... still much larger than that of any other ancient terraced sanctuary in Latium [mit Anm. 229].

The sanctuary Isis et Serapis in Regio III, taken together with its adjacent buildings [mit Anm. 230] and shrines, is much larger than all other sanctuaries of the Egyptian cults at Rome [mit Anm. 231; Hervorhebung von mir]";
